Why does Noti-Clean need notification access?

Android only allows notification management apps with the Notification listener permission. Noti-Clean uses it to intercept, group, and replace notifications — the core feature of the app.

Do I need an account?

No. Devices pair directly using QR codes or pairing codes. There is no sign-up flow.

Which Android versions are supported?

Android 8.0 (API 26) and newer. Some manufacturer-specific battery optimizations may affect background sync — disable battery restrictions for Noti-Clean if sync stops.

Sync is slow or stuck

Check that both devices have network access.
Ensure the app is not force-stopped and battery optimization is disabled.
Confirm both devices still appear paired in Settings → Devices.
Restart the app on both devices if envelopes were queued while offline.

Can I use Noti-Clean on one device only?

Yes. Pairing and sync are optional. All local notification features work without ever connecting to the broker.

Does Noti-Clean read my passwords or banking apps?

Noti-Clean processes notification metadata and text shown in notifications — the same information visible in your status bar. It does not bypass app sandboxing or access app-internal data.

Is there an iOS app?

Not yet. An iOS companion is planned. Because iOS cannot read other apps’ notifications the way Android can, iOS would only receive notifications mirrored from your Android devices — not capture them locally.

Does Noti-Clean use AI?

Not in the MVP. The app focuses on rules, filters, and grouping you control. Optional AI features are planned with the same privacy-first approach.
